Transaction Category
The Detail Level categories can be grouped into a set of customised higher level groupings (referred to as Custom Categories). This is recommended as too many categories can be confusing for the typical account holder.
Response fields for categories
Categories - the Detail Level Categories.
Category - the higher level Custom Category.
Only one higher level Custom Category is returned for each merchant.
There can be multiple categories returned in the Detail Level.
Customising Categories
Snowdrop will provide a spreadsheet which can be used to:
Define your own set of Custom Categories.
Assign each of the Detail Level Categories into your own Custom Category.
In addition you will need to supply the custom category icons you wish to use. See Category Icons.
